One month to the next
My word what a difference a month makes. Not in results and performances mind due. Only in the amount of fixtures we’ve had so why has nothing seemed to have changed? Please let me know your thoughts. I could half understand why we didn’t get the results in January, we played nine games in total. This month we have only played three, so why have our results and more to the point, our performances not picked up?
Don’t get me wrong, Klopp is the man and I have no questions over him being in charge for the next few years and beyond when he gets things right. January was an awful month, we all know that and surely that will not happen again? Surely Jurgen will learn lots from that and the mistakes he made. He played weakened teams to cope with the demand of all the cup games we faced, but it blew up in our face. He tried and failed, if it happens again then questions will have to be asked but I honestly can’t see that.
So what has gone wrong this month? We have only had three games this month, all in the league and we have lost two of them to teams at the bottom of the league. What is wrong with our mentality against teams that are not the so-called big boys in the league. We have proven we can step it up and perform when required so why can’t we switch it on all the time?

We’re currently undefeated against Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Everton and both Manc clubs this season having actually beaten them all at least once except for United. They were fortunate to hold out for a draw as well in our home fixture back in September when we were all over them. Anyway, there it is, so I’ll ask again, why can we not always beat teams lower than us in the league? Jurgen can try to answer that in his press conferences but for me it’s down to the players answering it on the pitch all the time.
