Liverpool 3 v Arsenal 1

Just like February we only have three games this month, all in the league once again. Let’s just hope our players performances are much better than they were then though. There should be no excuses, we’ve had time off in between games now to prepare and get organised so we can focus fully on one game at a time. Unlike January, where we crammed in nine games, won only one, got knocked out of both domestic cup competitions and lost ground in the league championship. Not a good month.

As a bit of fun then and as I have more time in between games to update my site, we’re going to do some LFC Predictions before each game and see how I fare against a few of my mates. It could be quite interesting mind due as I honestly think we will always predict that we win.

Sunday, 4 March 2017 @ 1730 – LIVERPOOL 3 v ARSENAL 1 in the Premier League
Firmino (9′ minutes), Mané (40′ minutes), Wijnaldum (90’+1 minutes)
HT 2-0
Welbeck (57′ minutes)

We do it again against a big team coming to our place, that means we have now beaten Arsenal home and away this season. I mentioned in last month’s blog and how we continually able to beat or draw against the likes of Chelsea, Spurs, Man City and Man Utd but can’t beat the likes of Leicester, Hull or Swansea. Let’s hope that changes next time out against Burnley. Our LFC Predictions before the game were:

Lee (Myself) – 2-0 Liverpool
Scott D – 2-1 Liverpool
Scott J – 3-1 Liverpool
Adam – 2-1 Liverpool

Sunday, 12 March 2017 @ 1600 – LIVERPOOL 2 v BURNLEY 1 in the Premier League
Wijnaldum (45’+1 minutes), Can (61′ minutes)
HT 1-1
Barnes (7′ minutes)

Burnley played pretty well considering how awful their results have been away from home, but we did our job and got the three points. We weren’t great but yesterday was all about getting a result and we did. As Klopp put it, we came from behind and won ugly. Here are our LFC Predictions before the game:

Lee (Myself) – 1-0 Liverpool
Scott D – 3-0 Liverpool
Scott J – 2-0 Liverpool
Adam – 2-0 Liverpool

Sunday, 19 March 2017 @ 1630 – MAN CITY 1 v LIVERPOOL 1 in the Premier League
Agüero (69′ minutes)
HT 0-0
Milner (51′ minutes pen)

James Milner has now scored every penalty he’s taken this season

All the media has praised the game as end to end as a brilliant game for the neutrals, for us Liverpool fans it was of course a cracking performance but defensively we were so poor at times. We did of course play some brilliant attacking football and could have easily won it at the end, however City fans will be saying exactly the same. Overall the draw was probably a fair result but it would have been superb to have beaten them once again. Our LFC Predictions before the game:

Lee (Myself) – 2-1 City
Scott D – 2-2 draw
Scott J – 1-1 draw
Adam – 1-2 Liverpool
